    This is Japan's oldest wooden church building. The Byzantine-style dome architecture was constructed using the Japanese method of octagonal temple construction. There is a replica iconostasis and grape vine engravings in the sanctuary on the second floor, and the wood-grain painting technique can be seen on the handrails.
