    The temple's main image of the warship Gyogi Nyorai is a tribute to the legendary Heike clan, and is said to have miraculous powers of romance and conception. Also on the premises is a tumulus of Emperor Antoku. The five-story tower was completed on October 6, 1986 as the first structure of its kind in Miyagi Prefecture.
