    Saga Gorge is counted, along with Geibi Gorge in Iwate Prefecture and Yaba Gorge in Oita Prefecture, as one of Japan's three largest gorges. These steep cliffs, which were carved through erosion by wind, rain and the pounding waves of the Pacific Ocean, expand about two kilometers, forming an expansive, breathtaking, and awe-inspiring panorama.
